Mostafijur Rahman Shipto
Mostafijur Rahman Shipto is a social entrepreneur and a wildlife photographer. He completed his Graduation from BUFT. Where he studied Apparel Manufacturing Technology (merchandising) and product development. He worked for renowned apparel manufacturing company where he acquired skills in international trade.
In 2019 he started a project “Banana fiber extraction” and making crafts by using that fiber. Rapidly Shipto made a choice to bring the work to the communities rather than installing his production in the capital city. With the help Access Bangladesh Foundation and Sightsavers, he started to recruit job seekers from marginalized person with disabilities. His dream, one day every single special person will contribute financially to their family. And earn self respect. No one get chance to say, they are not capable for work, no one dare to bully them at any way.
They can raise their voice proudly and can say, yes, we can. And also make eco friendly products to give our future generation a beautiful healthy Planet Earth. As a wildlife photographer he is very close to nature. He is very much worried about our climate change. Global warming is increasing day by day and it will impact to our planet earth very badly in near future. As a nature lover, He though, we should avoid plastic and this type of staff, that is not biodegradable .He want to make something that is replacing the plastic and He decide to work with natural row materials like Jute, sea-grass, garments waste etc. And start making rugs, baskets, bags, placemat and so many other handicrafts. and also start a production factory with those types of artist, who are suffer from different types of disabilities.1st of all He trained them how to make this type of products and after training they can able to produce the products and can ensure the quality very well. And established a company called S&S Handicraft BD. Now we have 300 artists family. And it will increase day by day.
